Lloyd Choi Gallery is thrill to launch at Collect and will present Korean contemporary artists who are crossingdisciplines of architecture, craft, design, fine art, painting, sculpture and textile to create fine art today in South Korea.
The presentation will include a deconstructed Moon Jar by Lee Soo Jong – a pioneering artist who has been creatingmost radical ceramic works since the 1970, architectural ceramic artworks by Lee Gee Jo - an artist who is shapingsculpture ceramic movement, and the international artists Yun Ju Cheol and Park Sung Wook - both of whom work toreinvent traditional craft processes: Yun creates tactile surface with ancient technique and Park creates contemporary pallet from the traditional slipware. New works by young artists, Choi Bo Ram, who works with ceramicsculpture as a three-dimensional canvas for her painting and Kwak Hye Young whose conceptual ceramics documentnatural elements such as the wind and rain. And special textile art work by Lee So Ra who works with ‘Jogakbo’; atraditional patchwork made of salvaged fabric scraps and creates abstract wall piece.
